Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Educational Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our Elementary teachers and assist students with their learning needs, ensuring an engaging and supportive educational experience. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Duties
Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management
Support students with diverse learning needs
Implement individualized program plans (IPPs) and adapt teaching materials accordingly
Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators,



and other members of the school team to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Maintain a calm, patient, and adaptable approach in a busy school environment while managing responsibilities independently, following staff direction, and adapting to changing student and classroom needs
Foster effective communication with students, teachers, and parents to promote student success
Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other school activities

Qualifications
Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education would be an asset
First Aid certificate would be an asset
Prior classroom experience working with children in an educational setting
Knowledge of teaching strategies and early childhood education principles
Robust communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and families

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
