Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated CanSkate Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe skating lessons to children or adults of various skill levels, fostering a positive learning setting. This role offers an exciting prospect to inspire young skaters, develop their skills, and promote a love for skating. Prior experience in teaching and skating is highly valued, along with a strong commitment to safety and student development.

Duties
Lead and instruct small CanSkate classes (1-on-5), ensuring all participants receive personalized attention and guidance.
Develop lesson plans tailored to different skill levels, focusing on fundamental skating techniques and safety.
Create an inclusive, fun, and motivating atmosphere that encourages skill improvement and confidence building.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help skaters achieve their goals.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed during lessons, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
Promote water safety awareness by integrating basic swimming principles when appropriate.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress.




Assist in organizing skating events or special programs as needed.

Requirements
Proven experience in teaching skating or related sports, with a robust understanding of skating techniques.
Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct children and collaborate with team members.
Ability to create a positive, encouraging environment that motivates young learners.
Solid organizational skills to plan engaging lessons suited for various skill levels.
Certification in first aid or water safety is an asset but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
