Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, especially those with disabilities, dementia, or requiring hospice care. Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication administration and monitor health conditions as required
Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Support patients with dementia or cognitive impairments through engaging activities and companionship
Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
Help with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when needed
Support patients with hospice or end-of-life care by offering comfort and emotional support




Document care provided accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members
Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures
Provide a G1 Drivers License and Proof of Ownership and Insurance to be able to run errands and provide grocery shopping

Experience
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is highly valued
Knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing skills is advantageous
Experience in caregiving roles involving senior care or hospice care is a plus
Ability to perform some lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks required for patient support
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy are essential for success in this role
