Reporting to the Development Director, the estimator extracts complete data in order to obtain the right value. He/she works independently from the plumbing and/or ventilation plans and specifications while making technical recommendations to the team.
Master bid documents (plans, specifications and addenda) in order to perform data extraction and question the available information in order to make the proposals more competitive;
Analyzes and validates the content of the bids from various suppliers and subcontractors;
Make modifications to projects in progress (change notices);
Attend site visits required by the calls for tenders (as needed);
Any other task related to the position.
College diploma in building mechanics or knowledge equivalent to a college level;
Relevant experience in estimating, in the construction industry;
Positive knowledge of MS Office suite, including Excel (advanced);
Bilingual (spoken and written);
Valuable knowledge of Viewpoint/Trimble (an asset).
