The team collaborates closely with customers on design, then manages manufacturing, installation, and repairs to deliver complete, customized solutions. Projects range from boat cushions, covers, and sails to vehicle interiors, RV awnings, custom home furnishings, and commercial seating.

The workshop also handles oversized foam and textile projects, providing a true one-stop shop for specialized upholstery and canvas work. This environment offers hands-on, varied work for individuals who enjoy craftsmanship and custom fabrication.

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Seamstress role based in Beaconsfield, QC. The Seamstress will sew, tailor, and assemble a variety of textile and upholstery products, including cushions, covers, seats, curtains, and custom pieces for boats, cars, RVs, homes, and commercial spaces. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting fabrics, operating industrial sewing machines, performing fittings and adjustments, and finishing products to quality standards.





The role involves reading and interpreting work orders or design specifications, collaborating with the team on complex or custom projects, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The Seamstress will also interact with customers as needed to discuss fittings, minor design adjustments, and timelines.

Qualifications
Robust dressmaking, tailoring, and fitting skills for custom and complex textile projects
Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and team members
Experience working with industrial sewing machines, cutting tools, and upholstery materials
Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
Ability to read patterns or technical drawings and adapt designs to unique project requirements
Comfort working on wide-ranging projects (marine, automotive, residential, commercial) and learning recent techniques
Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as part of daily workshop activities
Previous experience in upholstery, canvas work, or a related textile trade is an asset
