Seeking an Agronomy Assistant for the University of Guelph in Current Liskeard, ON. This part-time, temporary role focuses on supporting essential agricultural research tasks.

You will collaborate with the Agronomy Technician at the Ontario Crops Research Centre, assisting in conducting various field trials and evaluations across different crop types. The position requires robust physical stamina and the ability to work in all weather conditions while ensuring safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of small and medium plot trials
• Accurately collect and manage field research data
• Provide help with the planting of seasonal crops
• Operate and maintain research equipment safely
• Work closely with fellow team members on projects

Requirements:
• 2-year diploma or degree in agriculture advised
• 9 months of fieldwork experience or eagerness to learn
• Competent in using Microsoft Office
• Capable of lifting 30 pounds and outdoor tasks
• Must hold a Class G Driver's License and have WHMIS training
