B.S.L. Machine Limited is a leading manufacturer in steel components, design, fabrication and repairs including a specialty in gearing and gearbox remanufacturing.

B.S.L. has been in the machining industry since 1965, primarily serving industrial applications in the

Edmonton area.

We are currently recruiting for a manual lathe Journeyman Machinist reporting directly to the shop Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
Study job orders and interpret blueprints to determine operations to be performed.
Operate machines by setting up and adjusting three and four-jaw chucks (where applicable), tools, attachments, collets, bushings, gears, stops and indicating devices
Set up and operate machine tools to perform repetitive operations
Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Work with blueprints to produce work pieces conforming to quality standards.




Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Load, unload and move products and materials using basic material handling equipment and by hand, up to 50lbs.

Machine Specifics:
Working on a manual engine lathe, handling & machining parts up to Ø76" x 30ft long x 20,000lbs within secure working limits

Experience:
Journeyman Machinist / Red Seal
Minimum 10 years work experience as a Journeyman Machinist (Required)

Schedule:
8 hours, Day shift
Overtime available as needed
Monday to Friday
Weekends if required

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $32.00-$42.00 per hour
