Responsibilities will include:
Providing outstanding customer service
Ensuring proper meat preparation is achieved and maintained
Performing duties such as traying, wrapping, and pricing to Meat Department standards
Filling and merchandising the fresh case, frozen case, smoked case and all spot islands are to department standards
Receiving, inspecting and storing merchandise when assigned
Assisting in preparing instore made products such as sausage, hamburger patties, etc.
Adhering to all Evergreen Co-op safety policies and procedures
Adhering to all food safety policies and practices
Performing any other duties as assigned

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
Self motivated, reliable, responsible, friendly and hard working
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous food preparation/meat experience is an asset
Raw food handling is an asset
Commitment to Co-operative values and principles
Sense of urgency, and customer first attitude
Physically capable of performing agile and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50Ibs unassisted




Ability to work in cool and damp environments
