Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for performing the necessary job tasks and activities assigned to process the flow of goods through the Distribution Centre. These processes are wide-ranging and will include, but are not limited to: receiving of goods; unloading of trucks, trailers and containers; palletizing of inbound and outbound goods; outbound order picking and processing; order packing and processing; lift truck, stock picker and floor sweeper operation (dependent on tasks assigned); and loading of products as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each process.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate various types of material handling equipment (i.e., Walkie Rider, Forklift, MHE, Reach, Center Rider) in order to complete tasks, such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting product
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Managers, area coordinators and other associates to effectively complete assigned tasks
- Deliver outstanding customer service to internal distribution teams and to our stores by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
- Maintain orderly condition and housekeeping of your assigned work area
- Key responsibility may vary based on location

- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes
- Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes

High school Diploma or Equivalent

1 to 2 years of distribution centre experience an asset
