The Controller is expected to maintain adherence to the Magna Minimum Controls and is responsible for employees in finance and accounting functions. MBC Program, and other variable benefits.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Must poses a CPA.Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing workplace.Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.Experience with integrated financial / manufacturing software packages and SAP.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to Magna Minimum Controls GuidelinesProvide future development/direction for department (continuously improve processes).Safeguard all financial documents and keep all financial matters private and confidential.Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger accounting system.Protect the assets of the company by continual review and awareness of internal control issues, with appropriate recommendations for improvements.Ensure SOX guidelines are adhered to.Analyze and approve all general ledger reconciliations to ensure compliance with both internal and external audit tests as required.Analyze and present month end financial statement package to senior leadershipAnalyze monthly actual results compared to budget and forecast. Investigate variances and make recommendations to improve operations.Prepare periodic reports for management and corporate requests.Ensure an accurate cost tracking and allocation system for the plant is maintained.
