The Laundry Aide assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.What Is In It For You:- Sorts and separates items to be laundered in accordance with laundering requirements.- Operates automatic washing machines, dryers, irons and sewing machine.- Hand irons and folds/hangs garments after laundering.- Performs simple mending and repairs.- Transports laundered garments to appropriate floors.- Ensures proper identification of all personal clothing.- Maintains a clean work environment, dusting and washing equipment and shelves as required.- Maintains appropriate level of supplies (e.g. soap, bleach,



fabric softener and thread).- Cleans work area upon completion of shift.What You Will Need:- Previous experience in a laundry operation is preferred.- Must understand the basics of good laundry techniques/practices.- A minimum of public-school education is required.
