Plan, coordinate and supervise geotechnical field investigations, including boreholes, SPT, CPT, test pits and instrumentation installationAnalyze field and laboratory data to develop soil and rock parameters for designPrepare geotechnical reports and recommendations covering foundations, settlement, slope stability, retaining structures, excavation and dewatering, pavement design and earthworksProvide construction-phase support, including review of submittals, site visits, subgrade and foundation inspections, and resolution of field conditionsConduct engineering assessments for slope instability, including landslide susceptibility, risk assessment, soil characterization, factor of safety and slip surface analysisCoordinate with drilling contractors and geotechnical laboratories, including scheduling, health and safety, and QA/QC of resultsAct as the local technical point of contact for clients, project managers and contractors in southwestern OntarioSupport proposals, scoping and estimating for regional geotechnical workMentor junior engineers, EITs and field techniciansCollaborate with environmental, engineering and construction service lines to deliver integrated projectsPerform other duties as directed by the supervisor or manager Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 5 to 10 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally in a consulting environment P.Eng. designation in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligibility to register with PEO promptly Working knowledge of Ontario standards and regulatory environment, including OPSS/OPSD, MTO requirements, Ontario Building Code and O. Reg. 406/19 Experience with geotechnical software such as Slope/W, gINT, PLAXIS, Settle3,
