We’re lookingfor a hands-on Class 3 Driver / Recycling Collector to join our Quesnel team.This is a physically active job where you’ll be in and out of the truckthroughout the day, collecting recycling by hand and loading it into thehopper. It’s not automated collection and you’ll play a direct role in helpingkeep our communities clean and safe.

Position Description

- Safely operate Class3 motor vehicles with air brakes;
- Complete dailycollection routes on schedule;
- Safely collectresidential recycle blue boxes;
- Perform curbsideresidential recycling collection - including lifting, carrying, andloading material into the truck hopper;
- Conduct dailypre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete relateddocumentation;
- Effectivelycommunicate with Route Supervisorregarding any issues on route;
- Deliver therecycling to the recycle processing facility;
- Work Tuesday toFriday ( 4-6 days/month in Prince George; transportation provided);




- Provide aprofessional collection service and promoting a positive company image;
- Observe protected workpractices;
- Perform otherrelated duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

- Class 3 license withair brake endorsement.
- Clean driver’sabstract. Applicants must provide a valid driver’s abstract dated withinthe last 5 days.
- At least 2 years ofdriving experience preferred.
- Physical ability tolift up to 50 lbs and handle a manual collection job (lifting andrepetitive movement required).
- Ability to establisheffective professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to recognizevehicle maintenance needs.
- Willingness to workovertime when needed.
- Strong Englishcommunication skills.
- Punctual, reliable,team player.
- Experience inwaste/recycling or a similar industry is an asset.
