Do you have a recent Forklift license and are looking for an entry level role to gain some experience?

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting for an Material Handler (Shipping/Receiving) with a Valid Forklift license in KITCHENER .

Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

Pay Rate: $17.80/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities:

- 20% Forklift duties, 80% other duties throughout warehouse
- Move stock throughout warehouse using Counter Balance Forklift (must have valid license – “In-house” License is not a valid license)
- Prepare and process shipping documentation
- Arrange pick ups with transport companies, obtain freight quotes
- Cycle counts, picking and packing
- Organization of yard and warehouse (keep orderly, remove debris/garbage, recycling, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Valid Counter balance Forklift License. (In house certifications are not acceptable for this role)
- Minimum 3 months experience on Counter Balanced Forklift




- Ability to lift 25kg safely and consistently (this is not just a Forklift Operator role)
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting needed
- Comfortable moving for majority of shift
- CSA Approved Footwear
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
