Be a key part of Terry Fox Elementary School as a Temporary Educational Assistant during the school year. Your focus will be on assisting teachers and addressing the needs of exceptional students in their learning journey.
This position includes 6.0 working hours a day, where you will assist teachers in their daily activities while supporting students’ physical and educational needs. You will work under close supervision but will have responsibilities in tutoring, record-keeping, and classroom management. The role brings variety, encouraging qualified growth and experience in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with classroom instruction and direct student support
• Provide tutoring and help with learning materials




• Prepare instructional aids and support teachers’ tasks
• Maintain records and facilitate student supervision
• Assist exceptional students with personal care as required
Requirements:
• High school education plus relevant training preferred
• Experience with children, especially those with special needs
• Competent in English communication, both verbal and written
• Effective team collaboration and adaptability skills
• Flexibility to undertake various instructional tasks
