We design projects that are fully constructible.AECOM is searching for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to be based in our Burnaby, BC office for our Water and Wastewater conveyance group. You will have a solid understanding and significant experience in civil engineering, civil technology, project management, design and construction of municipal infrastructure and is familiar with hydraulic modelling and planning principles. You will be expected to work successfully within a team workplace and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. You will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. You will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal storm water, water and wastewater sector.The responsibilities of this position include,



but are not limited to:Design and project management of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilitiesPrepare documentation for design projects and reportsPreparation of project specifications and contract documentsPerform constructability reviewsPerform construction inspectionsAdditional responsibilities will include client communication and management; proposal preparation; coordination with regulatory agencies, project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering + 6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or municipal engineering.Eligible for registration as P.Eng with EGBC within 6 monthsPreferred QualificationsExperience with water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environment, including both gravity and pressurized systemsExperience in proposal writing and job scopingExperience with civil engineering, planning, design, construction inspection, contract administrationTraining and experience in managing municipal water and wastewater related projectsWorking knowledge of blue and green infrastructure: ponds, wetlands, bioswales, raingardens, etc.Familiarity with Hydraulic Modelling platformsExcellent written skills needed for technical reportsAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clientsComfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional InformationSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
