Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Seasonal Operators, holding a Class 1 or 3 license, who will skillfully navigate frozen roads, clearing snow and ice, along with other duties to ensure our roadways are protected for all travellers.In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full time position of Seasonal Operator, reporting to the Road Foreperson. This position requires an experienced operator to meet company production objectives and work within specified tolerances We are currently hiring in Fort St. John, Montney, Hudson's Hope, Rose Prairie & Buick Creek, Cecil Lake & Clayhurst, Fort Nelson, B.C. and may require some travel throughout our great province.NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FLY IN FLY OUT.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEMust prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the jobWork collaboratively with all team members to successfully complete tasks at hand, and other day to day duties to keep our roads and service area safe and cleanAbility to perform unskilled manual work requiring little previous training or experience but involving physical effortOperate heavy equipment in all weather conditions,



on public roadways in a safe and appropriate mannerFollow direction of the Supervisor regarding daily production schedule and activitiesMaintains a daily activity of work in progress and status of completionMaintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipmentComplete all work reports and maintenance logsWHAT YOU BRINGMinimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experienceValid Class 1 preferred, or 3 Drivers license is requiredTwo (2) years commercial driving experience is an assetExperience in snow removal is considered an assetKnowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirementsHeavy Equipment Operating Certificate an assetAble to manage electronic reporting using tabletsMinor equipment maintenanceBENEFITSLooking to be a key member of a well-established family-owned company?
