Role Description The Glazing Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Canada, responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for glass and glazing projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and site information to determine material, labor, and installation requirements. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates and quotations, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing, and updating estimates as project details change. The Glazing Estimator will collaborate with project managers, sales, and operations teams to clarify scope, manage bid deadlines, and support negotiations with clients. Additional responsibilities include maintaining estimating records,



supporting take-offs, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes.

Qualifications

- Experience in construction or glazing estimation, including reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills for quantity take-offs, cost calculations, and budgeting.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and standard office productivity tools.
- Knowledge of glass types, glazing systems, hardware, and installation methods relevant to commercial and residential projects.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple bids, deadlines, and changing priorities.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Post-secondary education in construction technology, engineering, architecture, or a related field is an asset.
- Previous experience in the glazing industry or building envelope trades is preferred.
- Eligibility to work on-site in Canada and willingness to visit project sites as required.

Compensation $42.50/hour average 44 hour weeks.
