EFT – Community Health Nurse
Fisher River Cree Nation Health Services

The Fisher River Cree Nation Health Services requires a RN/BN to provide public health and treatment services for the community of Fisher River Cree Nation.

Under the direction of the Nurse-in-Charge, the Community Health Nurse component includes:

Public Health Education

School Health

Clinical and community health services

Prevention services

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Diploma prepared Nurse with related Community Health experience, advanced training and/or experience in nursing management

Active practicing membership with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.

Current CPR & First Aid.

BTLS/IT IS Certification.

Knowledge of Fisher River Health Services policies and of Community Health related to physical mental emotional & spiritual health.

Excellent writing skills with the ability to complete correspondence, documents and reports.

Skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written).

Skills and ability to foster positive human and public relations.

Experience and skills in handling challenging and stressful situations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.





Excellent physical, mental and emotional health.

Reliable and demonstrates personal motivation and initiative.

Demonstrates a respectful and positive attitude towards work, colleagues, management, board and the general public.

Must be willing to participate in continuing education and personal/professional development as it relates to the work area.

Proficient in computerized programs, knowledge of eHealth Solutions.

Must submit a current Adult/Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.

Must abide by FRCN Policies & Procedures including adhering to Illegal Drug Test.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
