What you will be doing!

- Conducting inventories and audits of the microfiche collection to support collection management and preservation efforts.
- Assessing and documenting the condition of microfiche materials to identify preservation requirements.
- Rehousing and organizing collections using archival and preservation best practices.
- Updating metadata and collection records to improve discoverability and accessibility of materials.
- Preparing materials and documentation to support future digitization and preservation projects.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

- Education Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Library and Information Science, Library Technician, Information Management, or a related field.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated interest in information stewardship, preservation, archives, or collection management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while working with collection materials and records.
- Follows procedures accurately and maintains a high degree of accuracy when updating records and metadata.
- Works independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Handles fragile historical materials with care and professionalism.
- Brings familiarity with preservation principles, cataloguing, databases, or scanning equipment, which would be considered an asset.




- Security Clearance Eligibility Required Reliability Status which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions:

- Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty-seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.
