Support meaningful resident engagement at Extendicare as a Recreation Programs Aide. Play a key role in delivering enjoyable activities that enrich the lives of seniors part time.

Reporting directly to the Recreation Manager, you will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing dynamic programs tailored to residents' needs. Your effective communication with families and volunteers will ensure a collaborative environment while helping to record program participation accurately. You’ll also participate in ongoing education to stay updated on best practices in senior care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning engaging activities for residents
• Keep accurate records for assessments and participation




• Maintain open communication with residents and families
• Facilitate transportation for resident outings
• Evaluate daily activities and support meal services

Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreation or related studies required
• Experience with senior care preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Strong oral and written communicative ability
• Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
