You’ll work in a supportive environment that values collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning.Role Summary:Reporting to the Customs Supervisor, the customs Coordinator is responsible to obtain clearances for cross border freight within the timescales provided by drivers, while ensuring Challenger is compliant with Government regulations established by U.S. and Canada Customs.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pmWork Arrangement:On-sitePosition Type:Non-UnionEmployment Status:PermanentCompensation:Salary Range: $43,000 to $51,000Work Location & Environment:300 Maple Grove Rd, Cambridge, ON N3E 1B7Office environmentKey Accountabilities:In this role, you will:Electronically submit ACE & ACI shipments directly to Canada and US Customs for both Challenger, Elgin and TLS driversIntegrate information received via ISAAC satellite message into ACE/ACI systems and submit to CustomsInteract with internal departments, customers, custom brokers,



CBSA & CBP custom officials to resolve service issues when needed.Review the details of the shipment and ensure all information is entered accuratelyPrepare and forward paperwork to Customs brokers and drivers to obtain pre-clearances via emailReview incoming driver documents for quality and missing documentation and verify recipient broker addressMonitor shipments clearance by brokers to ensure clearance is done in a timely mannerAnswer inquiries from drivers by satellite, telephone, and in-person regarding customs clearancesSubmit RAPID shipments for Ford and Stellantis using the importers FAST portal and communicate with drivers on clearance.Troubleshoot and problem solve any Customs issues that ariseAccess web-based portals to view shipments and edit data when neededAssist drivers in completing ACE and ACI lead sheets, A8A’s, Bonds and other customs forms.Receive/Scan and index Customs paperwork into the company’s indexing system, SynergizeSend proof of releases/clearances to brokers as requested.Other DutiesPerforms other duties and general housekeeping as required or requestedQualificationsWe’re looking for someone who brings:Education & Experience:Secondary School diploma1 year of office administration experienceProficient in Microsoft Office ApplicationsACE/ACI knowledge is beneficialUnderstanding of cross border freight processesSkills & Attributes:Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy and data integrityDriver and Customer focused service approachEffective written and verbal communicationProblem solving & analytical thinkingCommitment to qualityDisclaimer: We use some technology-based tools, which may include artificial intelligence (AI), to support application screening; however, all hiring decisions include human review.#J-18808-Ljbffr
