This position is centred on keeping freight moving efficiently through the FedEx facility. You’ll be loading and unloading packages , using scanning equipment to track shipments, and sorting freight to ensure it reaches the right destination. The role requires physical stamina - you’ll regularly handle packages up to 70 lbs and use appropriate equipment to manoeuvre items weighing up to 150 lbs .

As part of the FedEx Canada operations team, you’ll be expected to complete all required basic and recurrent training, follow workplace safety protocols , and contribute to a team workplace where accuracy and speed both matter. If you reside in Quebec, bilingualism in French and English is required - though this role is based in Woodbridge, Ontario.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day work in this role is physical and fast-paced, requiring focus and consistency throughout each shift. As a Package Handler , you’ll play a direct role in ensuring FedEx’s freight network stays on schedule and accurate.

- Load and unload freight at the Woodbridge facility
- Scan packages to track and verify shipments accurately
- Sort freight to the correct destinations within the facility
- Lift packages up to 70 lbs regularly throughout each shift
- Manoeuvre items weighing up to 150 lbs using appropriate equipment
- Complete all required training , including basic and recurrent safety and operations training
- Work varying shifts as required based on business and operational needs

Requirements / Skills

FedEx is looking for someone dependable and physically capable who can keep up in a warehouse environment . Familiarity with FedEx operations is a bonus, but a willingness to learn and follow procedures is what matters most.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset (preferred, not required)
- Good interpersonal skills for working effectively within a team
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with proper equipment
- Capacity to successfully complete all mandatory testing and training
- Comfortable working in a PC/Windows environment for scanning and tracking tasks
