Mincon Canada Western Service Centre is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in an exciting New Product Introduction (NPI) project .
This is a hands‑on opportunity to work directly with new drilling technology , customers and engineering teams across the field.
What you’ll do: Develop a solid mechanical understanding of the drilling system
Support field testing, commissioning and troubleshooting
Produce engineering drawings for manufacturing
Perform stress analysis on system components
Analyze drilling performance and bit life data
Conduct bit failure mode analysis and prepare performance reports
Work with engineering and customers to identify product improvements
Review and make basic changes to CAD models
Travel extensively, including overnight stays at customer and field locations




What we’re looking for: Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma
1–3 years of engineering or mechanical experience preferred
Basic AutoCAD and mechanical drawing skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Practical, hands‑on approach to engineering
Willingness to travel extensively
Valid driver’s licence
You’ll gain hands‑on engineering and field experience while working on a new product with an international drilling technology company.
