As a Technician I, you'll handle the repair and testing of a range of vehicles and mechanical equipment, while supervising a Helper. You will gain significant exposure to health and safety policies pertinent to City operations. Your ability to work independently with minimal supervision will be essential, especially if you have experience in diesel-powered equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair all automotive and mechanical equipment
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the Helper
• Familiarize with health and safety policies
• Execute other duties related to the role

Requirements:
• Successful completion of Grade XII education
• Certified Automotive Service Technician (310S)
• Hands-on experience in automotive repairs
• Ability to acquire a Class “DZ” driver’s license
• Proficient in using fleet management software
