Job Description ThePlant Engineeris accountable for managing the maintenance of the plant’s production equipment, furnace, electrical systems, building, and grounds. The Plant Engineer also ensures the plant is in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
The Plant Engineer will:
Conduct periodic inspection and provide guidance concerning all plant systems, furnaces, equipment, facilities, and grounds.
Ensure preventive maintenance is followed on production equipment by scheduling repairsand upgrades while simultaneously working to maximize plant uptime.
Supervise training of personnel to ensure all crafts (electrical, hydraulic and mechanical)have the required level of expertise.
Support job change initiatives to improve performance.
Remain consistent with lean principles,



and ensure the development of a continuousimprovement culture within the plant by involving relevant salary and hourly workforce in theon-going identification, development, and implementation of improvements to the manufacturing process.
Champion energy savings initiatives.
Oversee plant apprenticeship program.
ThePlant Engineershould have:
Experience communicating and directing the application of safety and environmental regulations.
Experience investigating all accidents and safety incidents within the plant, ensuring proper root cause analysis to provide remedial action to prevent reoccurrence and implement corrective actions.
The ability to prepare estimates and specifications of plant projects, determining crew size, trades involved,and materials required to complete projects.
Experience coordinating and directing outside contracting work associated with plant system, furnace, and facility.
The ability to effectively manage department budgets.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in a maintenance management or engineering management position in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working in a CMMS (previous Limble experience highly desired)
Experience creating a maintenance plan for a large manufacturing facility
Experience managing projects on a large scale
Leadership abilities managing a team, including coaching, training, delegating responsibilities




Robust interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other departments
Additional Information What we offer at O-I:
Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $160,000 and includes a possible 18 % quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
