Controller - Manufacturing / Operations Finance

As Controller, you will be a key financial partner to operational and senior leadership, providing the insight, analysis and financial discipline needed to drive performance across the business. You'll have visibility across operations and play an influential role in budgeting, forecasting, profitability, cost management, internal controls and strategic decision-making.

We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between the details and the bigger picture: a strong accounting foundation combined with the ability to understand operations, challenge assumptions and turn financial information into meaningful business recommendations.

Salary range: $120,000- $160,000/year

What You'll Be Responsible For
Partner with the business.
Work closely with operational and senior leadership to understand business performance, identify opportunities and provide financial insight that supports better decision-making.

Lead financial planning and forecasting.
Direct divisional budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities while helping establish both short- and long-term financial objectives.

Turn numbers into actionable insights.
Analyze financial and operational results, identify trends and explain the story behind the numbers.



Develop and monitor KPIs and benchmarks that provide leadership with a clear view of business performance.

Drive operational and financial performance.
Monitor monthly results against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost control and overall financial performance.

Provide leadership with forward-looking analysis.
Prepare financial outlooks, forecasts and management reporting that help senior leaders anticipate challenges, evaluate opportunities and make informed decisions.

Strengthen financial controls and processes.
Develop, maintain and continuously improve internal controls, accounting procedures and workflows that protect company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.

Lead reporting and compliance.
Ensure financial reporting and accounting practices meet applicable IFRS, GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Partner on financial and operational audits, identify opportunities to improve processes and implement practical solutions that increase efficiency, accuracy and visibility.

Build and develop a strong finance function.
Establish the appropriate structure, processes and priorities for the department while providing leadership and direction to ensure the finance team effectively supports the business.

You will ideally bring:

5-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including experience in a senior-level finance or Controller capacity

Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control and financial planning

Experience analyzing operational and financial performance,



including variance and profitability analysis

Strong understanding of IFRS and GAAP

Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems

Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial compliance

The ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for operational and senior leadership

Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and collaborate across the organization

The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work within tight timelines

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

MBA or other advanced business/finance education

Previous experience within a manufacturing, industrial or operationally driven environment
