Role Description The Accountant is a full time, on-site role based in Nepean, ON. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including processing accounts payable, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.



The Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements and reports, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting processes, standards, and internal controls.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as robust skills in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial individuals.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in professional services, construction, or land surveying environments is considered an advantage.
