The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is looking for a Lead Coordinator to manage the Information Desk serving First Nations individuals applying for compensation. With a focus on support and advocacy, you will lead operational efforts, provide strategic insights, and engage with First Nations leadership. Your work will contribute to enhancing the livelihoods of at-risk populations through culturally respectful service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Information Desk operations for applicants
• Conduct comprehensive research and provide recommendations
• Ensure timely communication with stakeholders
• Facilitate outreach and engagement initiatives
• Supervise and mentor Information Desk staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or similar
• Three years' experience with First Nations
• Five years supporting at-risk populations
• Robust understanding of Indigenous policies
• Ability to manage confidential information sensitively
