Little Willows by Kids & Company is seeking a dedicated Centre Director to lead our childcare centre while remaining actively involved in the classroom and school-age program.
This is a 35-hour-per-week position with a split shift between the morning and afternoon. The successful candidate will work directly with children alongside another educator, including walking children to and from a nearby school, supporting programming, and providing classroom coverage. There is potential for this role to increase to 40 hours per week in the future.

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily centre operations, including staffing, scheduling, enrollment, and programming
Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
Lead, coach, and support a team of educators
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Maintain licensing, attendance,



and administrative documentation
Support enrollment and family retention initiatives
Work directly in ratio with children for approximately 5-6 hours per day
Walk children to and from a nearby school for daily drop-off and pick-up
Collaborate alongside another educator to deliver engaging, high-quality programming
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Ensure the centre is organized, compliant, and audit-ready
Qualifications Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or equivalent qualifications as required by provincial regulations
Minimum 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Strong knowledge of childcare licensing regulations and best practices
Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on classroom support
