We are a private family in West Vancouver seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Early Childhood Educator to provide dedicated one‑on‑one care and early childhood education for our 21‑month‑old child in our home.

We are looking for a warm, patient, professional, and highly knowledgeable educator with a strong understanding of infant and toddler development. The educator will plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities supporting language and communication, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, social‑emotional development, creativity, independence, curiosity, and practical life skills.

We value a child‑centered approach and would like learning to occur naturally through play, conversation, reading, music, art, sensory activities, outdoor experiences, and everyday routines.

Multilingual candidates are highly valued. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, and/or English is a strong asset.



Candidates who are able to communicate in multiple languages, particularly those who can speak three or four of these languages, are especially encouraged to apply.

This is a full‑time, long‑term, live‑out position. The successful candidate must be able to commute reliably to our home in West Vancouver Monday through Friday.

Qualifications
Post Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications
BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification required. Infant/Toddler Educator (ITE) certification strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or a related field is highly desirable. Montessori (0–3), Reggio Emilia, or other advanced early childhood education training is an asset. Previous experience as a Lead Educator, Senior Educator, or Director is highly valued. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required. Current First Aid/CPR and a clear criminal record check are required.

Required Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in early childhood education, including substantial experience working with infants and toddlers under three years of age. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in supporting language, cognitive, social‑emotional, fine and gross motor, and early independence development. Previous experience as an Infant/Toddler Educator, Lead Educator, Senior Educator, or Director is highly valued. Experience providing individualized one‑on‑one education is an asset.
