JOB DESCRIPTION The Continuing Education Department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course NORTH AMERICAN TRANSPORTATION (410-097-LA).
This course develops the concepts and processes for managing the personnel and equipment for transporting goods by road, rail or multi-modal modes within North America.
Students will develop the ability to analyze transportation option costs and develop transportation plans and documentation while adhering to all legal requirements.
Students will manage the personnel required to move the goods and effectively communicate transportation plans to relevant people/organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must have a thorough knowledge of North American transportation and logistics.
Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of pertinent experience,



or a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 2 must be in management.
Experience teaching an adult clientele in a similar program is an asset.
This course is taught in English. Proficiency in English is required.

Thursdays 1-4 (EXCEPT: Dec. 24 & 31; Jan. 7)
This course will be delivered in person.
The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online, should the delivery mode change due to unforseen circumstances.
The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.
COMMENTS This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
