The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Director of Night Operations to lead the strategy, performance and people behind Gibbons’ nightlife portfolio.

This is a senior, multi-venue leadership role for someone who knows how to make great nights happen — and knows that great nightlife takes more than a busy dance floor. You’ll lead venue leaders, drive operational standards, shape programming, improve guest experience and own commercial performance across our nightlife businesses.

You’ll work closely with General Managers, Entertainment Managers, AGMs and Captains, while partnering with our Revenue, Offering, Pricing, Marketing and central teams to turn strategy into exceptional execution.

We’re looking for a hands-on hospitality leader with strong commercial instincts , a passion for nightlife and entertainment, and the ability to develop high-performing leaders. You’ll be comfortable jumping between P&Ls; and the dance floor, coaching a GM in the afternoon and making sure the operation is firing on a Saturday night.

What You Bring to the Table
Hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, restaurant or multi-site operations experience, with meaningful leadership responsibility

Proven experience leading high-volume hospitality or nightlife operations, ideally across multiple venues

A strong commercial mindset with experience managing revenue, labour, profitability, inventory and P&L; performance

A natural people leader who knows how to coach, develop and hold managers accountable while building a strong leadership pipeline

Strong operational instincts and the ability to create clear standards, systems, scorecards and accountability rhythms that actually get used

A genuine understanding of guest experience, nightlife programming, entertainment, front-door operations and venue atmosphere

Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, venue leaders, resort partners, community stakeholders and centralized teams

A calm, practical approach to problem-solving under pressure — when the night gets busy, you’re the person people want around

Comfortable being highly visible in the business, working evenings, weekends, peak periods and major events when the action is happening

A hands‑on leadership style that can move seamlessly between big‑picture strategy and getting into the details to make sure the job gets done

Your Days Will Look Like
Reviewing the previous night’s revenue, labour, guest feedback and operational performance and turning the insights into action

Coaching GMs, AGMs,



Entertainment Managers and Captains to help them become stronger operators and leaders

Getting into venues during peak periods to see the guest experience firsthand, connect with teams and make sure standards are being delivered

Building and activating seven‑day nightlife programming, from local nights and pub nights to major events and seasonal activations

Working with Revenue, Pricing and Offering teams to turn guest demand into revenue and profit opportunities

Reviewing labour plans and helping leaders make smart, demand‑based decisions about staffing

Making sure venues are ready to go — from opening and closing standards to entertainment, atmosphere and front‑door execution

Building relationships with resort, community and industry partners that help strengthen Gibbons’ place in the Whistler nightlife scene

Using guest reviews, feedback and operational observations to spot opportunities, solve problems and keep raising the bar

Leading regular performance and P&L; conversations, setting priorities and making sure the team knows what matters and what success looks like

Recognizing great work, addressing performance gaps and creating opportunities for talented people to grow their careers with Gibbons

Being there when it counts — Friday nights, Saturday nights, peak season and big events — because this is nightlife and sometimes leadership needs to happen where the party is
