Wage: $20.00 per hour; 40 hours per week

Location of Work: 200 Geary Avenue, Toronto, ON M6H 2B9

Job Description:

- Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, and all other Portuguese traditional specialties including Portuguese cream tarts “pastel de nata” and “bolo rei”
- Preparing dough, icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Decorating cakes, pastries and other baked goods
- Maintain/check inventory for baking supplies and place orders as instructed

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a baker – Portuguese pastries
- Skilled in monitoring baking times, oven temperatures (such as high-heat baking for tarts), and visual appeal to meet strict quality standards.
- Physical endurance and relevant commercial baking experience
- Able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills to meet production schedules, and the ability to work well under pressure in a quick-paced wholesale & food manufacturing environment
