Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our healthcare team in Stoney Creek, Hamilton ON . You must have a reliable vehicle . As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals in need. You will assist clients with daily living activities and ensure their comfort and well-being. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have a solid commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.

Support clients with nutritional needs,



including meal preparation and feeding.

Monitor the client's health conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.

Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.

Assist with mobility and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.

Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.

Collaborate with family members and healthcare staff to develop individual care plans.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Must have a valid certification as a Personal Support Worker.

Must have a Explicit Vulnerable Sector Check report.

Must have e xcellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in Dementia Care is an asset but not mandatory.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compassionate and patient demeanour.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

You must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle.
