Position Information
This is a Corporate position with base at the Riverside Campus.

Rotation/Shifts
Days, 8 hours shifts.

Basic Requirements

Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario;

Post graduate operating room course completed; OR Three (3) months of experience in an acute care operating room within the last five (5) years;

Current BCLS;

Ability to work effectively as an active member of the interdisciplinary team;

Exceptional interviewing and interpersonal skills;

Desire and ability to participate in staff and patient/family teaching;

A professional and respectful attitude to patients,



colleagues and the public;

Self directed and capable of critical decision making;

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing;

Current experience in a busy ophthalmic Operating Room setting;

Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).
