The School of Public Health (SPH) and Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (FoMD) are seeking an Educational Instructional Design Lead for a temporary appointment. Working across both Faculties, the position will provide leadership and hands-on expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, educational technology, faculty development, and the design and delivery of high-quality in-person, online, blended, and transnational education programs.
The role will support the University of Alberta’s transnational education activities,



including academic programming delivered in partnership with Wenzhou Medical University. The successful candidate will work closely with academic leaders, instructors, program teams, and international partners to translate curriculum and program objectives into effective learning experiences across different educational, cultural, and delivery environments.
The position is intended for an experienced educational skilled who can move comfortably between strategy and implementation: advising senior academic leaders, working directly with instructors, developing courses and learning resources, strengthening teaching capacity, and establishing sustainable approaches to program delivery and evaluation.
