Role DescriptionSala San Marco is seeking an experienced Sous Chef with banquet and high-volume kitchen experience to join our culinary team.

This is a full-time, in office position with shifts primarily during evenings and weekends.

The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef with food preparation and event execution, supervise kitchen staff, maintain food quality and safety standards, and help oversee kitchen operations during weddings, banquets, corporate events, and other functions.





The role will involve collaborating with the culinary team to prepare and execute menu items efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.

Qualifications

- Strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Previous banquet or high-volume kitchen experience
- Menu planning and recipe development abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet event timelines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Formal culinary education or certification is considered an asset
