Intent of the process
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff indeterminate, term, full-time and part-time positions.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

The process to obtain an RCMP security clearance may involve, but is not limited to, a security/reliability interview, a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity, verification of credit/financial status, reference checks, education, employment history, online activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc.,

Conditions of employment Security clearance: Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Enhanced Reliability StatusWillingness and ability to use material handling equipment to move heavy items on a daily basisWillingness and ability to repetitively lift and carry boxes or equipment weighing up to 30kg on a daily basisWillingness and ability to stand for extended periods of time on a daily basisWillingness and ability to bend and go up and down ladders on a daily basisWillingness and ability to wear Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved footwear and supplied uniform at all times during working hoursWillingness and ability to safely handle firearms, munitions and hazardous goods including irritants and explosives on a daily basis
