Adecco is currently hiring a District Operations Manager for a full-time opportunity in the Greater Toronto Area, with travel to Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in retail operations, field sales, merchandising, trade marketing, category management, territory management, and team leadership.

You will be responsible for driving retail execution, managing field teams, supporting customer growth initiatives, and ensuring merchandising excellence across multiple retail channels.

Pay Rate: $52.88/hour

Location: GTA, ON | Ability to travel to Ottawa, ON | Remote work arrangement

Shift: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM -5:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Retail Sales & Business Development

Execute retail and commercial strategies across assigned territories.

Support customer growth through merchandising, promotions, pricing, and product placement initiatives.

Identify opportunities to increase sales, market share, and retail presence.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and retail partners.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of merchandisers to achieve performance targets.

Conduct store visits, audits, and business reviews to ensure execution excellence.

Support onboarding, training, and development of field teams.

Monitor KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance.

Planning, Budgeting & Analysis

Manage regional budgets, trade spend,



and retail investments.

Monitor performance metrics, analyze results, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Support forecasting, reporting, and business planning activities.

Ensure compliance with merchandising standards, promotional programs, and customer agreements.

Stakeholder Management

Act as a liaison between field teams and internal departments.

Communicate market insights, opportunities, and execution results.

Support issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.

4-7 years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, sales, category management, or trade marketing.

Experience leading and developing field sales or merchandising teams.

Strong understanding of retail, wholesale, and distribution environments.

Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.

Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.

Experience with trade marketing, promotional execution, and category management.

Advanced analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.

Knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape is considered a solid asset.

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
