Job Title: Municipal Manager, Atikokan

Job Description: Northern Waterworks Inc. provides premium Water/Wastewater services to Municipal, First Nation, and corporate clients. We are a high growth company expanding rapidly with divisions across Ontario.

The Municipal Manger, Atikokan Operations, is responsible for managing a team of professionals delivering industry leading services to he Municipality of Atikokan. As the Municipal Manager, your team delivers world class water & wastewater services and works closely with the municipal client in the management of these system(s) in order to ensure that residents have protected, clean water, in accordance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal legislation, policies and standards.

Location: Atikokan
Permanent Full-Time: 40-hour work week

Knowledge:

Minimum educational requirement: Post-Secondary Diploma
Possession of Class III water/wastewater operator certifications as required for the role of overall responsible operator. Note: Class II Certification may be considered, and applicants are encouraged to apply
Valid G class driver’s license
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with the Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS)
Proficiency in water and wastewater sampling and testing methodologies
Familiarity with inspection protocols
Experience in building maintenance
Intermediate understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems

Skills:

Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
Advanced mechanical aptitude
Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater equipment and systems
Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Sound decision-making skills
Effective verbal communication and team-building expertise




Proficient public relations and public speaking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional software platforms

Responsibilities:

Leads the safety and compliance culture within the operations by actively engaging with the NWI leadership twam, Compliance and H& S Managers.
Works proactively with the team to manage housekeeping, maintenance and planned capital works
Works in partnership with the client to satisfy contractual requirements and regulatory compliance
Manages administrative tasks including budgeting, procurement, scheduling, invoicing, reporting and approvals
Conducts routine inspections of physical facilities
Performs inspections of mechanical, electrical, and other building infrastructure and systems
Compiles and submits reports to governmental agencies, departments, relevant organizations as required

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $91,000 – $111,000
