In this key leadership position, you will oversee maintenance operations, manage fleet performance, and ensure our modern fleet supports company standards for reliability and safety. **Why GFL:*** **Competitive Pay:** Individual pay is determined by responsibilities, experience, and location.* **Comprehensive Health Benefits:** Full employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.* **Retirement Savings:** Company-matching RRSP/DPSP program to secure your financial future.* **Modern Fleet & Gear:** Work out of safe, modern yards with well-maintained trucks, new equipment, and industry-leading diagnostic tools.* **Nationwide Career Growth:** Clear pathways for advancement across GFL’s growing national network.* **Employee Support:** Full access to our confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP).* **Green for Life Perks:** Exclusive employee discount programs, perks, and team recognition initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:*** **Team Supervision:** Supervise and direct the members of the maintenance team within the location, setting goals, targets, and managing accordingly.* **Preventive Maintenance:** Follow the schedule of preventive maintenance and annual inspections.* **Fleet Analysis:** Analyze the fleet and make suggestions for improvements or purchases.* **Subcontractor & Repair Oversight:** Assume responsibility for the approval and payment of any repairs on the company’s equipment that must be performed by subcontractors while keeping in contact with the District Manager.* **Budgeting & Operations:** Work with Operations in the development and administration of the budget for maintenance and replacement of the equipment.* **Compliance & Regulations:** Responsible for keeping equipment in compliance with company policies and regulations.* **Health & Safety:** Ensure the health and safety of employees.* **Reporting:** Complete weekly reports.* **Cost Management:** Establish various management tools to improve cost management.* **Staff Training:** Ensure the training of the staff.* **Additional Duties:** Perform other related duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:*** **Education & Experience:** Post-secondary education, bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or 3 years of relevant work experience.* **Licensing:** Current Mechanic’s license and valid Driver’s License.* **Software Knowledge:** Knowledge of Microsoft software along with Trux, Ariett, GP and M5, or Dossier.* **Communication & Organization:** Excellent communication skills, management priorities, and good organizational skills.* **Financial Acumen:** Knowledge of financial statements and general understanding of the department’s contributions to monthly financial statements.* **Interpersonal Skills:** Ability to deal with all levels of management; tactfully dispenses direct and actionable feedback and is open and direct with others.* **Work Ethic:** Ability to work under pressure.* **Designation:** Maintenance Management Skilled designation is considered an asset. **#GFLTalen**t*We thank you for your interest.
