Overview

Highfield Construction is looking for a Bridge Construction Foreman/Woman to coordinate and supervise our team of crew members. The successful candidate will be responsible for training recent workers and will work closely with management and sub-contractors to coordinate work. They will also create and maintain construction schedules; manage staff; ensure construction equipment is properly maintained; and keep projects on schedule. The candidate should be extremely organized with excellent time management, leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Recommend measures to improve productivity

Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Co-ordinate and schedule activities

Coordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers

Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints

Requisition materials and supplies

Supervise workers and projects

Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units





Supervise and coordinate activities of workers

Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions

Monitor attendance of the crew

Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment

Enforce the proper use of safety gear, like hard hats and eye-protection
