Job Summary Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Production Manager oversees all mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and production planning and coordination. The Production Manager allocates resources as necessary to ensure that machines are assembled on time and in accordance with our quality standards. The Production Manager is also responsible for all managerial duties within the department, including hiring, training, evaluating, and administrative and disciplinary procedures.
We are looking for a Production Manager with the following skills: BA in Business, Administration, Mechanical, Industrial and Process Engineering, or related field;
3-5 years in a similar role;
Proven track record in production leadership with focus on operational efficiency and scaling operations;
Exceptional organizational and communication skills;
Fluency in French and English;
Knowledge of pharmaceutical line packaging or related equipment (an asset).

General Responsibilities: Production Planning
Help draft timescales for each job (projects and assemblies) to ensure that all departments are aligned (PMO, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.);
Effective planning and organisation of production resources (people, jobs, material);
Establish production schedules by assessing deadlines against available workforce and materials;
Develop and monitor production KPI's;




Ensure production staff has the necessary tools, materials, and training to adequately assemble, test, and prepare machines for shipping in a timely manner and in accordance with our quality standards;
Ensure maintenance of all production equipment;
Ensure production and manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures are productive and cost effective by properly managing time and resources assigned for every task;
Participate in pre-production, project review, and all other meetings as required;
Develop and ensure compliance with production standards and procedures by enforcing company policies and guidelines;
Collaborate with sales and business services to establish and implement optimal scheduling parameters on behalf of customers;

Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;

Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;

Oversee 5S program within the department;

Recommend and implement new policies and procedures to optimise efficiencies and reduce costs;

Liaising between different departments e.g., suppliers, and managers.
Management
Administering personnel functions including recruiting, hiring, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, selection and placement of personnel, performance evaluations and salary adjustments;
Supervising and motivating team members;
Identifying training needs;
Providing leadership in selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of all supply chain and building maintenance functions;
Update department job descriptions based on up-to-date job analysis and department objectives;
Conduct work task prioritizations and continuously monitor employee performance;
Effectively handle workplace conflicts and disputes.
