Position Title: Detox Manager

Position Summary The Detox Manager will report to the Executive Director and provide tactical leadership and oversight of the detox program. They are responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the centre, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, overseeing facility management and general operations, and fulfilling day to day business needs.



This position creates the standard and establishes the atmosphere for the centre by creating and maintaining an environment of safety, trust, compassion, and excellence in care.
Primary Responsibilities Clinical & Program Oversight Ensure continuity of care between all staff shifts
Review and monitor shift reports and participant documentation with follow up as required
Provide support and guidance to all staff
Monitor admission and discharge for all participants
Ensure participant safety, confidentiality, and program standards are maintained
Intake & Referrals Oversee relationships with partner agencies, building strong connections and communication channels
Develop, maintain, and implement all intake and discharge process and supporting documentation
Support staff through the intake and referral processes
Administration External reporting and accountability regarding appointed metrics
Prepare reports for funding and regulatory requirements
Monitor occupancy and bed utilization
Coordinate communication with external agencies
Assist in policy implementation
Support donor engagement to bolster sustainable revenue
Leadership High level of oversight on all program and participant documentation
Provide day-to-day supervision of program operations
Support staff through coaching and mentorship
Ensure consistent communication between shifts
Facilitate staff orientation, onboarding and training, or delegate as required
Oversee and implement quality improvement initiatives




Ensure all staffing levels are met and all shifts are filled, supporting coverage as needed
Additional Responsibilities Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Credentials Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Nursing, Addictions, or related field required OR five or more years of directly related leadership experience within addictions, detoxification, shelters, healthcare, or community services.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate required
Leadership experience required
Experience coordinating referrals is considered an asset
Knowledge of addictions and treatment, including withdrawal management, and trauma informed care considered a significant asset
Non-violent crisis intervention training considered an asset
Must be able to obtain and maintain a transparent Vulnerable Sector Clearance.
Experience working with vulnerable persons considered an asset

Work Environment The position is based in a detox facility where staff work in and among individuals going through detox recovery.
Flexibility schedule, which may include working evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
The work environment reflects the Christ-centered mission, where staff collaborate in ministry-focused work that supports individuals on their recovery journey.
