Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a recognized Respiratory Therapy program OR Baccalaureate-prepared Registered Nurse and completion of accredited post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant Program. Current registration with the applicable professional college recognized by the Alberta Health Professions Act. Certified Clinical Anesthesia Assistant (CCAA) from CSRT; eligibility for Anesthesia Assistant membership with CAS. Certifications in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2200 hours within the last 2-years’ experience in critical care areas such as PACU/ICU/Emergency or Respiratory Therapy experience in OR.



Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team with proven ability to collaborate to provide holistic care to patients. Proven dependability and accountability. Computer skills including experience with electronic charting and Microsoft Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in research participation or clinical education preferred. Experience leading quality initiatives. Effective change management skills. Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.Note: applicants who do not fully meet the qualifications for this position may be considered for an approved educational pathway opportunity, with employer-funded training provided in exchange for a return service agreement.
