THE ROLE The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The Finance Manager will oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of the internal finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, billing and collections, tax compliance, budgeting, staff expense management, finance systems, process improvement, and team leadership. This is a hands-on role for an experienced accounting qualified who can take ownership of finance operations, identify issues, improve processes, and provide reliable financial information to management. Responsibilities: Lead the monthly, quarterly,
and year-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, revenue, WIP, AR, AP, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts. Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and supporting working papers. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed. Coordinate information required for year-end accounting, tax, audit, and other external requirements. Billing, Revenue, WIP & Collections Monitor revenue, WIP, unbilled revenue, billing, and accounts receivable. Coordinate collections and follow up on outstanding receivables. Resolve billing and accounting issues. Ensure revenue is recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting policies. Prepare financial information, schedules, and analysis required for Andersen Group reporting. Coordinate routine reporting data, including revenue, billing, WIP, and other financial metrics. Respond to routine finance information requests and support Group integration and reporting initiatives. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Oversee routine Canadian tax and regulatory filings, including GST/HST, PST, and other applicable filings. Ensure filing and
