Our client is a publicly listed organization with international operations and a lean, collaborative corporate team. They offer accounting professionals the chance to gain broad exposure, take on meaningful responsibility, and contribute directly to a growing business.
They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities. This opportunity is well suited for a CPA candidate or designated CPA looking to expand their technical expertise and grow within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Support public company reporting requirements, regulatory filings, and audit processes.
Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for external reporting and compliance activities.
Corporate & Operational Accounting Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records across multiple entities.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, cash management activities, and intercompany transactions.
Support budgeting,
forecasting, and cost tracking for operational and project-related activities.
Process Improvement & Business Support Assist in enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting workflows.
Prepare financial analyses and reporting packages for management decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc requests.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
CPA designation or active pursuit of the designation is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of IFRS or demonstrated ability to learn and apply accounting standards quickly.
Experience in project-based, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, construction, or natural resource sectors is beneficial but not required.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working within multi-entity environments.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
