About this opportunity:
We are looking for a Drilling/Completions Summer Student for a 4-month term commencing in May 2027.

This position will be based in-person, in our downtown Calgary office. Supervised travel to Field locations in Alberta may be required.

What you’ll be doing:

You will learn about Drilling and/or Completions within the Oil & Gas industry

You will be supervised and mentored by a Senior Engineer within the group for your work term

Specific job functions may include:

Gathering and compiling information from well files

Offset review of performance and adjacent wells from other operators within the area Paramount is working

Assisting senior engineers with building execution programs

You will be exposed to planning, designing, and how to execute operations within the Drilling and Completions group.

Who you are:





You are currently enrolled in your 2 nd , 3 rd or 4 th year of an Engineering or relevant program

You are currently enrolled at the University of Calgary, Queens University, University of Saskatchewan, or the University of Alberta

You are able to work effectively in a team environment

You are someone who values feedback as a learning tool

You are motivated, hard‑working and determined to achieve superior results

You are focused and have a keen attention to detail

Previous oil and gas experience is not required, however it is considered an asset

To be eligible for a Paramount Resources student position, you must meet the following requirements:

You are currently enrolled in a post‑secondary institution

You are available to work the full duration of the work term

You are currently residing in Calgary or willing to relocate for your work term

You are legally entitled to work in Canada, without restriction by way of one of the following:

Canadian Citizenship

Permanent Residency

Valid work permit
