Primary Job Functions

Prepare and process full cycle semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salary employees in multiple locations and collective agreements.

Administration of employee group benefits and Company RRSP plans

Prepare, review, and reconcile various payroll and benefit related reports for salaried and/or hourly employees, including monthly journal entries.

Perform general ledger reconciliation and account analysis for various payroll and withholding accounts.

Perform monthly insurance updating online with company group benefit providers, and internally including calculations for monthly JV's. Maintain insurance files and monitor eligibility and changes as required.





Function as liaison between Company employees and various insurance and employee benefit providers.

Other payroll-related tasks as required.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll and benefits administration.

Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system, current payroll practices and worker compensation programs.

Above average skills with Microsoft Office Suite ( Excel, Word)

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certifications is an asset.

Post secondary education in payroll is an asset.

Working knowledge of basic accounting.

Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.

Initiative-taker and able to work in a rapid-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
